There are several piers on Anna Maria Island, this one has the bonus of a bar at the end.
Walking down the pier is free, unlike on the Atlantic side of Florida, where you have to pay to walk out.

These two shots were taken from the Ringling Estate in Sarasota, Florida. The grounds are decorated with assorted statuary (mostly awful) and this is the front view of the house.
The house backs on to the water, and originally it would have been possible to dock your boat and walk up to the home.
All of the tile work around the back of the home is unique and inspiring. The inside of the house, not so much.
It's quite obvious that these were circus people living here.
At the Ringling Estate in Sarasota, Florida, there's a sculpture garden between the buildings.
